Happy In - between

I like this time of year the in - between time, the time  between Christmas and New Year.. everything is so quiet. Everyone has stopped rushing around and everyone is waiting for the next celebration and thinking of the hopes and dreams of the year to come. All of the Christmas madness is over and all is still... its a kind of magical time.. dont you think?

Well it was a great event and Iv made lots of contacts and hoping to report new exciting things soon. However one thing I can report is I have a new agent who I met at the show

Well we are nearly all finished and packed ready for the show and  I cannot wait!

OK its been a while Iv been all caught up in textiles but now I'm back and full of energy for a good long run at the artwork.. first up some little mirrors and soon to be on sale in my little folksy shops.

Two New Themes

Two new themes I'm working on this year are out of shape buildings and domestic kitchen designs these are aimed at art licensing and I will be developing these ideas for Olympia

I'm always working on ideas sometimes I just go half way with them leave them and go back and develop at a later stage, so for these kind of ideas I work small. Ill come back to these later in the year and show you what Iv come up with..

Im working like mad filling up my new Etsy shop with originals this month so please visit from time to time if you should so wish!
Iv  suddenly got a lot of requests for artwork which I'm so happy about, some for paintings of all sizes  some from galleries for bigger work some for textiles.All this makes me very happy. I'm also putting the finishing work on the illustrations of a children's book too so busy days ahead for me... but that's how I like it to be after all I could be doing this full time soon.
Next month I shall be starting work on a whole new portfolio of designs to be launched at Brand Licensing in London in October. I may, if  all goes well be posting little tasters of work from time to time.. its going to be a busy year so please stick with me for the journey..

LOVE LOVE LOVE

As we are heading for the month of love I thought I would paint some little mini  illustrations with this theme for my shop.

Iv a heap of new work to start and projects to think about. My days are going to be filled with developing ideas, Iv lots of exciting things on the horizon...

                                  

THOUGHTS OF WARMER DAYS

I am sitting here thinking about and longing for warmer summer days and the best way to imagine them is to start painting them..... !

NEW YEAR AND THINGS TO LOOK FORWARD TO

Like.... spring,warm sunshine, birds singing, long light evenings,walks in the country... I'm starting to think of new characters already and cant wait for the summer months ahead and the warmth to come back to my bones!!
